Bal Vihar Ganesh Project of 2018

Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is one of the important Hindu festivals celebrated throughout India with a great devotion. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the elephant-headed son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Ganesh is the symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Indian festivals are celebrated as an integral part of Bal Vihar. Bal Vihar provides the children the opportunity to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi by learning about Lord Ganesh and making a craft related to the festival. Children enjoy doing the project every year.

On September 9, 2018 kids from 2nd to 7th grade created an idol of Ganesh from clay. Kindergarten and 1st grade kids are making a drawing of Ganesh. Kids are making an idol of Ganesh from their image with their own hands, while having fun at the same time. What a way to start the year...
